Is It Over Yet???

Oh, geez, is this election over yet?  I just got done filling out my sample ballot, so I'm done making all of my decisions for this election.  Many were easy, some not so much.  I had to laugh at one of them.  There is a local race that probably a lot of folks don't even look at for a community college board member.  I googled the candidates.  One is the incumbent.  One is a gentlemen that simply doesn't exist in cyberspace.  Okay, can't vote for him, I don't know anything about him.  Now, lady #3:  she has a blog where she just has a lot to say about a lot of stuff, including her candidate's resume.  Her resume includes pertinent information such as the fact that she has a big bust.  Hmmm...  Probably not important, methinks, to the job of community college board member?  I certainly hope not.  Certainly shows a lack of judgment on her part.  Here I have my own blog where I ramble about aimlessly, yet I say nothing about the size of my boobs.  And she puts this on her candidates resume?  Very odd.  That would be like Barack Obama or John McCain talking about the size of his...  well, I think you get my drift.  I think only Bill Clinton might think that was important to his competency as President.  Omigod, I'm really getting far adrift here.  Am I tired of this election or what?

Okay, maybe I just needed to lighten things up a bit.  I have started turning off the TV more, or watching shows cued up on the DVR rather than watching all of the political wrangling.  The ads are turning so nasty and just plain stupid.  I mean, really, does Joe the Plumber really think we want to buy his country album?  (Seriously, I'm not making this up)  If so, he should go on American Idol.  Now that, I would watch.  Simon Cowell vs. Joe the Plumber.  That's good reality TV.

Today is Halloween, and I have to work tonight, so I won't get to see all of the political costumes out there.  Too bad, I'm guessing there will be some good ones.  If you are planning on dressing up as a political character, send me a pic, would you?
